Roach and Milan is ready for the next level

January 01, 2020

How does it feel to be in your second GPAL Semifinal Game

it feels good to be in the second semifinal GPAL Game! we as a team have gone through a lot of challenges to get here and a lot of hard work was done. We are strong and will strive toward the final round and Championship Trophy.

Was this a goal you set out for yourself at the beginning of the season?

At the Beginning I set a Personal Goal to become MVP for the season.I am still striving for that goal and will give %100 to get it.

With all the star power your team had last year, what is so different with this year's team?

This year's team is different because we have more options and different opportunities to score and make plays. All though the star power last year was good; i did not get to unlock all of my skills until this year and there are still new things that i am learning.

Did you feel any pressure having to fill in the shoes left behind by players like Tyreik Wanzer and D'Angelo Strickland at all?

to be honest i don't feel any pressure filling their shoes. with more players that bring unique skills, we all can work together to get the job done. While we still strive to maintain individual achievements.

Roach & Murray-Bey Proves to be too much

February 24, 2017

GPAL First round Action took off in the best way possible. 2 rivals with a complex history clashed Friday night. As fate have it the Rhinos was slow but steady throughout the first half of Action. Coach Chris Dave was ruggedly pacing across the sidelines as his team played with relentless persistence lead by his youngest brother Freshmen Guard Jovanee Dave. The Rhinos Attack was lead by their Senior tandem of Foward Kymani Roach who scored 15 points and Guard Zhair "Philly" Murray-Bey 14 points. Rhinos also had solid contributions from Guards Rashad Roberts and Tahir Meacham. The Rhinos edged out the Thunderbolts 48-38. As they advance to their semifinal game against ASA who upsetted the Ousley Saints

Rhinos Senior team get hit with huge upset

February 26, 2017

Since the Rhinos Became a local stronghold within the realms of non-AAU competitive basketball there are a few teams they refuse to lose to. The Strong Island Generals are 1 of them. unlike any other Sunday, the Rhinos without some key seniors lost to the Generals in a blowout win. that featured a lack of calls and blatant miss call from the Rockdale County Development league.

March 01, 2017

Last year's Rhino's team featured 3 players that should have had College offers

and 2 role playing starters with a brewing young point guard by the name of Agent 0

Stephan Milan itching for a chance off the Bench. The Rhinos was poised and ready to

start a winning Tradition for its organization. Winning games that sounded like

Championships was no the going because 1 problem was always lurking the W.A.Y.S Lakers

who was led by then senior PG Jordan Osbourne. the lakers were the pistons to Chicago's

Bulls in the late 80's until the early 90's. 2017 embarked a new era No lakers, no EYS Warriors.

The Rhinos who finished 3rd in GPAL last year was poised to be this year's favorites led by Veteran Rhino's Senior F/G Kymani Roach and Sophmore Stephan Milan who are the only 2 returning Players from last year's GPAL team. The Rhinos welcomed back 2nd year player Jamari Tota. Tota helped the Rhinos Freshmen and JV teams win the CBF championship last year.New Comer Jonathan Young,Jr was also a staple addition to the core.Young a long and lenky 6'4 forward with Cat like quickness wasn't ready  for the rhinos open up the season 0-2. When winning a championship was on there brain. There was only one problem with the 2 veterans goal. Stephen played well along aside Kymani in an Adult league pretty well but his maturity didn't completely transfer over yet. Kymani who was still Adjusting to the Transition of playing Shooting guard rather than his usual PF also found the new position to be duanting at times. The Rhinos made a swift turn around after acquiring Senior Guard/ Forward Zhair Murray-Bey and Junior 3 Guard John Mcbride. Tahir Meacham and Rashad Robert finally got adjusted to their new role on the which sparked the Rhinos to Finish the Regular Season 4-2; after a rough 0-2 start. One can say Roach and Milan did find their way with the help from Great Teammates who all made it possible for them both to try to achieve their goal.
